The damage we are doing to our planet is becoming more and more apparent each day. As a result, some celebrities are making a conscious effort to raise awareness and save the planet. But who is the most influential?
Thanks to the experts at waste removal company Clearitwaste.co.uk who were curious to find out which celebrities Brits think are most influential and most likely to make a change when it comes to environmental issues.
Clearitwaste.co.uk asked over 1,600 Brits to name a celebrity that they think had the most potential to help save in the world from environmental disasters, such as global warming.
Who’s the most Earth-friendly celebrity according to you?
The celebrity voted the most influential when it comes to making a change is no other than Sir David Attenborough. Interestingly, he is the only celebrity on the list to not be active on social media – his TV presence is more than enough to earn him the love and respect of the British population.
Second on the list is Elon Musk, the famous engineer and entrepreneur, who is trusted by 78% of Brits when it comes to saving the planet.
Although controversial at times, 66% of Brits believe in Greta Thunberg making a change. The young activist has a staggering 4 million supporters on Twitter, despite just turning 17 years old.
Coming in 9th position is ex-US president Barack Obama, with almost 50% of Brits believing he has the power to influence people to save the planet. Obama has the most followers on Twitter – 119.3 million – showing his clear influence all over the world.
